Policy, Disclaimer & Honesty Commitments

1. What LIIFT is

LIIFT (Identify Your Issue • Add Your Facts • Generate Your Complaint) is an independent Indian community research and complaint-documentation project. It helps citizens organise their experience, preserve important facts and prepare a structured complaint record for internal community review.

2. What LIIFT is not

LIIFT is an independent Indian community survey and complaint-documentation project. It is not affiliated with the Government of India, Supreme Court of India, any High Court, police authority, regulator or public department. LIIFT does not provide legal advice, does not represent any user, and does not act as a lawyer, court, tribunal, regulator, police authority or grievance-redressal authority.

3. Effect of generating a complaint

Generating a complaint does not automatically submit it to a court, government department, police authority, regulator, company or consumer commission. The user must separately approve any future submission or professional service.

4. Honesty of public counters

Public counters shown on LIIFT reflect real database records (verified complaints and survey contributions) plus manually audited outreach figures. No automatic inflation, artificial increments or generated numbers are used. Every change to a manually audited counter is logged in an internal audit table with the reason, previous value, new value and source label.

5. Research consent

Research consent is optional and separate from personal complaint review. Only anonymised, aggregate information from consented submissions contributes to community research and preventive education.

6. AI drafting limits

LIIFT drafts are prepared using a community-focused AI assistant restricted from citing statutes, section numbers, court judgments or regulator circulars, and from promising enforcement action. Draft output is a neutral narrative and must be reviewed by the complainant before use.

7. Data handling

Complaint records are stored securely and are not shared with any third party, government department, court or regulator without the user's separate written approval. Users may withdraw a complaint by contacting the LIIFT administrator via the platform.

8. Emergencies

LIIFT is not for emergencies. For threats to life, violence, medical emergencies, fire, or urgent police assistance, contact your local authority immediately.
